WordPress Security Plugins:

Users that are on 5.6 or later version of WordPress, and are using SSL there is no need to install the application pass plugin.

WordPress Password Screen Missing:  

If you don't see the screen for passwords, maybe the security plugins are disabling it.  

Check settings for security plugins and enable them, then install the application password plugin.

WordPress URL Structure:

When working with WordPress rest API, permalink structure should be '/post-name'  rather than page ids in urls

Keep permalinks or URL as pretty, not ugly, they can change this setting by going to Settings => Permalinks.
